First of all, you must toss a coin to decide who will be the 'Fox' and who will be the 'Geese'. You sit at opposite ends of the 'Draughts' board. The 'Fox' has only one man, but there are four 'Geese'. Starting from their respective back lines, the two sides advance towards each other, one square at a time, and only moving diagonally. The aim of the 'Fox' is to break through the line of 'Geese' and get to the other end. The aim of the 'Geese' is to block his path. You might think that the 'Geese' are bound to win because they are four to one. But the Fox has one major advantage — he can move backwards as well as forwards, whereas the 'Geese' can only move forwards. Back to Board Travel Games Menu
