Another kind of tongue-twisting game that's good for your arithmetic at the same time. The players take it in turn to count from one upwards, taking one number each: 'One' . . . 'Two' . . . 'Three' . . . 'Four' . . . The catch is that Five and Seven must not be mentioned, nor must any of their multiples. When you reach Five, the player must instead say 'Fizz'. When you reach Seven, the player says 'Buzz'. When you reach Ten, the player again says 'Fizz'. Numbers which include Seven or Five also count. So the sequence should go like this: One . . . Two . . . Three . . . Four . . . Fizz . . . Six . . . Buzz . . . Eight . . . Nine . . . Fizz . . . Eleven . . . Twelve . . . Thirteen . . . Buzz . . . Fizz . . . Sixteen . . . Buzz . . . Eighteen . . . Nineteen . . . Fizz . . . Buzz . . . and so on. This may seem quite straightforward at first, as long as you know your multiplication tables. But 'Fizzes' and 'Buzzes' can creep up on you suddenly, and when you reach Fifty the fun really starts: After Fifty, the sequence goes: Fizz-One . . . Fizz-Two . . . Fizz-Three . . . Fizz-Four . . . Fizz-Fizz . . . Buzz . . . Fizz-Buzz . . . Fizz-Eight . . . and so on. Not so easy, is it? Anyone who forgets a Fizz or a Buzz must drop out. Back to Word Travel Games Menu
