The object is to write as long a sentence as possible, in which each word begins with a successive letter from the alphabet. ' For example, you could begin: 'All Brown Cows Devour Extra Fish Gladly'. That sentence runs to seven words, and so it scores seven points. 'Annie Baxter Carefully Digs Every Furrow' has only six words, and scores six. The more words you can string on, the more points you score. There is only one rule: the sentence must make sense, even if it is very silly. Proper names can be used, and so can commas. Impose a time limit of, say, ten minutes on this competition.
